A scheme which could help protect lower Otter Valley landmarks is now accepting nominations.

The Otter Valley Association’s (OVA) local heritage listing project was launched at a heritage walk in Otterton, which marked 20 years of National Heritage Open Days.

This allowed walk leader Dee Woods to point out some examples of features that might be suitable.

The project will consider nominations for a list of landmarks, which will then be taken into account with planning applications. The OVA is seeking volunteers to help with the project, and is hoping the public will nominate heritage features from across the lower Otter Valley.

For more information visit, or pick up a nomination leaflet from Budleigh Salterton Library, Budleigh TIC, Fairlynch Museum, East Budleigh Community Shop, Woods Village Shop in Colaton Raleigh, or Otterton Mill.
