A BRAND new 67-home housing estate just off Dinan Way has once again been recommended for refusal by town planners.

A BRAND new 67-home housing estate just off Dinan Way has once again been recommended for refusal by town planners.

Developers have amended their plans upwards from 66 to 67 homes on the site of the old Hillcrest School in St Johns Road.

But despite the amended plans it made little difference as once again town planners refused to back the plans.

Councillor Maddie Chapman said: “My concern is that the congestion on St Johns Road will be absolutely awful.

“It’s overdevelopment.”

The plans will now be reconsidered by district planners.
