HOMELESS people could be helped more through a new service if the district council approves a £20,000 grant.
HOMELESS people could be helped more through a new service if the district council approves a £20,000 grant for the new service.
The new homeless service by Exeter Housing Action Group (EHAG) Smartmove will provide housing advice and help the homeless get access to accommodation in the private sector.
Smartmove is a form of rent deposit scheme offering landlords a written guarantee on behalf of clients instead of a cash deposit.
East Devon District Council will consider giving the group the responsibility of its homeless duties at next week's Executive meeting.
