THE HEADTEACHER of Marpool School has spoken of her delight after a new sensory garden was opened.
Mrs Patterson said the new garden, which was opened last Friday, September 25, would play a key part in the curriculum, particularly English and science.
The Exmouth Raleigh Rotary helped prepare the area and Barclays donated 1000 to develop the grounds.
"It is really going to be a gem," said Mrs Patterson. "It will open up all kinds of senses to help the pupils with their studies.
"The garden will be a rich part of the science and English curriculums predominantly. The potential it has is going to be great. It gives us a rich resource to reach out to all children.
