EXMOUTH fire-fighters have launched a campaign aimed at people who live alone and could be at risk of fire.
Devon crews have attended four fatal fires since April this year which have all involved a person living alone.
And as part of a major campaign called Operation Home Alone, members of the public and staff from other agencies will be asked to provide details of people they know who may be at risk from fire to the Service.
The Service will then write to them offering fire safety advice, a home safety visit and if necessary the fitting of smoke detectors.
