A new Exmouth play trail is to be completed in time for the half-term holidays.
Work has already begun on the district council environmental play trail at The Maer.
The trail will be officially opened on Tuesday June 1 at 10.30am during the family fun day event, as part of Exmouth Festival.
All activities are free of charge.
An East Devon District Council spokeswoman said: "Specifically designed for the site, the play equipment is sure to surprise and delight local youngsters and visitors alike, with some amazing creatures to crawl about on, slide down, climb up and generally explore.
