Exmouth's U3A group has a new leader following its AGM.

Sandra MacQueen has taken over as chairman from retiring Jan Harper Shea, following the unanimous agreement of more than 150 members.

The meeting was held at Exmouth Pavilion on May 10.

In her trustees report, Jan thanked past, present and future committee members, as well as all the volunteers ‘who went the extra mile’ to support Exmouth and District U3A.

Following the conclusion of committee business, members were treated to a talk about the work of Exmouth in Bloom.

Membership of the U3A group peaked at 860.

At the group’s next meeting on Thursday, June 14, at Exmouth Pavilion from 10am, Bill Lodge will give a talk entitled ‘On Safari’.
