EAST Devon District Council is offering youngsters the chance of a prize - if they can come up with a winning name for the council's holiday play schemes.

The Council's two new mobile play workers, Jane Sharp and Polly Mercer, are offering a prize for the best name and/or logo for the scheme, with other goodies for the runner-up.

The working title for the project is Free Time Activities Scheme and it includes a number of exciting things for kids to do in the holidays - like beat boxing, kwik cricket, circus skills and performance, dance, racket sports, making musical instruments, den building, ball skills and puppet-making.

The free play events will be held at a number of venues in the district, including the Millwey Rise estate in Axminster.

So, if you can come up with a great-sounding name for the scheme, get in touch with Polly and Jane at: EDDC, Knowle, EX10 8HL, email them at: pmercer@eastdevon.gov.uk, or phone direct on (01395) 517556.
