A band of teachers led by design and technology head Adam Drake have banged heads and shredded lead guitar lines to raise more than £300 for schoolchildren in Senegal.

A music video parodying Band Aid charity classic Do they know it's Christmas? raised the cash - as the band demanded £1 from everyone who wanted to see their version on DVD.

The funds will supply a year's worth of school dinners for twenty pupils in Mbella, through charity World Vision.
