The Exmouth branch of a charity who has raised cash for sufferers of a muscle-wasting disease has closed after 40 years.
The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign set up a branch in Exmouth in1962.
But because of dwindling membership the three remaining branch members have decided to close the branch.
Polly Woodward who joined the MDC over 25 years ago said:
“We would like to thank everyone who has helped with street collections and other fundraising activities for all their enthusiastic help and support.
“Their efforts have been greatly appreciated.”
Anyone interested in continuing to fundraise or contribute should visit the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign website.
