Well, last week's front page of the Journal headlined it all (flooding threat)!So, why build a supermarket on the estuaryside if it is all going to be submerged sometime in the future?But whatever the future, surely the answer to Exmouth's town centre car parking problems will be helped by the East Devon District Council's proposal to build a multi-storey car park on the existing London Inn car park site (it might just escape highwater). Lymington in Hampshire built one adjacent to their town centre many years ago, so why does it take so long to get things done in Exmouth? Stephen Derek, 138 Fairford Road,Tilehurst, Reading.
