The organisers of the Budleigh Open Gardens event for Hospiscare have hailed it as a success.

The event at the weekend saw nine gardens across the town opening in aid of the charity, and more than £5,000 was raised, which organiser Sharon Rehbock said was an ‘amazing’ amount. She added: “Thanks to all the people who came round to see the gardens, to the people who donated plants to sell over the weekend, to Kings Garden Centre who supplied bulbs for us to sell and to all the gardeners for their time and effort getting their gardens ready for the event!”

Anyone who might be interested in opening their garden for next year’s event is invited to call Sharon on 01395 444031.
