A Lions golf day held in Budleigh Salterton has raised more than £3,000 for an appeal to provide children with better swimming facilities.

Earlier this year, St Peter’s Primary School opened its new-look outdoor swimming pool, which was part-funded by the Warm Wish Appeal.

A special fundraiser held at East Devon Golf Club, Links Road, raised a total of £3,478 for the appeal.

It is hoped the money could go towards improving the swimming facility to allow more schools from across the area use it as well as more people in Budleigh Salterton.
