On Saturday, April 18, we held a Street Collection in Exmouth in aid of the Exmouth and District Talking Newspaper for the Blind. We were delighted to collect a total of 467.16 during the day. This was over 100 more than a similar collection last year, so many thanks are due to those who collected but, more particularly, to the generous people of Exmouth, who contributed. The money will go towards the Exmouth Talking Newspaper's conversion to digital recording, which will take place very soon. The Talking Newspaper is available to anyone blind or partially-sighted, living in the area, who might like to receive it and contains weekly news from the Exmouth Journal. If you know of someone who might benefit from its receipt, please contact the secretary, Gill Laws, on (01395) 266968 for details.Mrs G M Laws, 31 Broadmead,Exmouth.
