MEMBERS of Exmouth’s Moose International have been recalling what has been a busy month for the organisation.
Like hundreds of people across accross the town, the Exmouth 159 Lodge of Moose International remembered Britain’s war dead earlier this month. On November 14, the branch joined the scores of people to pay tribute to the fallen.
They laid two wreaths and then attended a remembrance lunch at the Royal Beacon Hotel.
Moose spokesperson, John Green, said: “Eleven of us sat down to the lunch which was excellent and the proceedings which went with it. We all thank the management and staff for their time and courtiesness.”
On Saturday, November 20, an indoor bonfire night was held at Moose Hall.
Mr Green added: “There was a good turnout, lots of baked potatoes and trimming with different sweets to choose from.
“We had about eight children who really enjoyed the evening, some with parents and others with grandparents. There was a Guy Fawkes competition and a grand draw.
“Everyone went home having had a pleasant night.”
