EXMOUTH Chiropractic and Massage Clinics, in association with Exe Pilates, held an open day to raise money for a young boy suffering from muscular dystrophy.

The morning was held during Back Care Week and all the practioners and therapists gave their time with informative talks and demonstrations.

Complimentary spinal checks were on offer for all clients new to the clinic - and this offer is continuing to the end of October.

The teams were joined by Exmouth Mayor Joy Whipp. A raffle - with many prizes donated by patients - raised more than £200 for Cory Ronchetti.

Cory, eight, from Exeter, suffers from muscular dystrophy and will soon be relying on a specialised wheelchair to get him around.

Although Cory is currently living life to the full and enjoys sports, such as body boarding with his dad, the disease will soon deprive Cory of mobility and the activities he enjoys most.

The money raised will go towards Cory's new wheelchair to help him get around, as well as making his home better adapted and the family car more accessible.
