Portland Rescue helicopter tasked to aid ‘plane with landing problems
A LIGHT aircraft with three on board, sent a Mayday broadcast while trying to land at Exeter Airport yesterday (Sunday) morning at 11am. The aircraft was suffering icing problems, which could have jeopardised the pilot’s landing, and Portland Helicopter Rescue 106 was tasked. However, the aircraft landed safely and the rescue helicopter returned to base.
