Children at Marpool Primary School are officially part of the RotaKids programme after an official charter event took place at the school.

he school was inaugurated into the scheme by the Rotary Club of Exmouth and District, which will act as the school’s sponsor.

RotaKids aims to get children involved with community projects by mirroring their Rotary club counterparts.

The district governor for the Rotary Club, Peter Bennett, presented the school with its charter certificate and the children gave a presentation to mark the occasion.

Frank Hart-Venn, chairman of the club’s youth services committee, said: “It was a great fun afternoon and the RotaKids were most impressive in their presentation. RotaKids is a microcosm of Rotary. Members seek to emulate the work of their sponsor, the Rotary Club of Exmouth & District.”
