Man taken to hospital after Exmouth ‘altercation’

Police are investigating after an alleged altercation involving a group of people in Exmouth last night (Thursday, July 6).

Officers were called at around 8pm following reports of an incident in The Parade.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a 48-year-old man was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for treatment on head injuries and has since been discharged.

Officers say three teenagers were taken into police custody on suspicion of GBH and common assault and await questioning.

Police enquiries into this matter are ‘ongoing’.
