MAJOR structural maintenance work is scheduled to start on the southbound carriageway of the A376 near Clyst St George on Monday 1 June.
The �374,000 scheme between Redlands Garage and Clyst St George roundabout will reconstruct and resurface over 1,380 metres of the two-lane dual carriageway. Improvements will also be made to the kerbing, footway and drainage.
Temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented to minimise disruption to the travelling public, with day time lane closures in place for the first week to enable the contractor SWH Limited, to undertake works in safety.
From the 8 June, for three weeks, a night time closure of the A376 will be in place between the hours of 19:30 and 07:00. During the night time closure, traffic will be diverted along the A3052, B3180 and B3179.
