Staff from an Exmouth supermarket have helped redecorate a charity headquarters in the town.

Volunteers from M&S spent 50 hours between them at The Open Door Centre in Church Street, painting two of the staff offices, the main hall and doors, and the foyer to the community café.

The work was done as part of the M&S #SpendItWell campaign.

M&S Exmouth store manager Andy Griffiths said: “We really enjoyed coming together to support Open Door Exmouth. We were delighted to be able to help such a worthy local charity.”

Open Door Exmouth projects director Helen Tribble said: “We are passionate about volunteering and see on a daily basis the positive impact that volunteering has on our service users and on the volunteers themselves, so were thrilled when M&S said they would like to volunteer to help redecorate the centre.

“The team were inspirational, working so hard to make a difference for us.”
