Lympstone volunteers needed for police group
LYMPSTONE residents are being called upon to set up a group looking at crime and other issues in the village.
LYMPSTONE residents are being called upon to set up a group looking at crime and other issues in the village.
PC Simon Halloran and PCSO Sarah Trayhurn are in the early stages of setting up a Partners and Communities Together panel which would address resident's problems ranging from parking to scam calls and anti-social behaviour.
PC Halloran said the village needed the PACT meetings, which would be held every couple of months, to help represent people who are currently not able to attend the parish council meetings.
He said: "Members of the communities including youth involvement is needed so they can have a voice and we can gather all the information of the issues in the village.
"There needs to be a better representation of the community and this is perfect for finding the needs of the people and sorting them."
The neighbourhood beat team are now looking for volunteers to help set up the panel and publicise the event.
