Minor amendments to plans for a new luxury hotel between Lympstone and Exmouth have been supported by Exmouth Town Council’s planning committee.

The proposal for Lympstone Manor Hotel, formerly Courtlands House, has undergone slight changes, including the removal of air conditioning units and retention of some existing windows.

The new hotel, the brainchild of celebrity chef Michael Caines, will have 21 bedrooms and a fine dining restaurant, along with a nature trail, tennis court, croquet lawn, and access to the Exe Estuary Trail.

It is set to open in the spring.

East Devon District Council will decide on the amendments.
