The first lunchtime lecture of the year is being held at Topsham Museum. Read this and more.

LECTURE: The first lunchtime lecture of the year is being held at Topsham Museum.

It is entitled Topsham’s First Museum: How Ross Brought the World to Topsham, and will be given by Tony Eccles on April 24.

Doors open at 11am, for an 11.30am start, and the lecture, which is free to attend, will run until 12.30pm.

Soup and crusty bread will be available after the lecture.

FAIR: The Brooke Topsham Supporters Group is once again holding its annual spring fair and coffee morning.

It will be at Matthews Hall on Saturday, April 27, between 10am and noon.

Books, cakes, cards and bric-a-brac will be on sale, and a raffle will be held.

APPEAL: The Topsham Society is appealing for new committee members.

The appeal comes ahead of the society’s annual meeting on Thursday, May 23, at which a number of committee members have indicated they will not be seeking re-election. Anyone who might be interested in joining should contact Elizabeth Hubbick on 01392 877526.
