Longboat:?three thoughts
I am amazed that the present plans are nearing approval for the new Longboat Cafe on the seafront at Budleigh Salterton.
I am amazed that the present plans are nearing approval for the new Longboat Cafe on the seafront at Budleigh Salterton.
Firstly, I do not know how much research has been done about attracting potential customers but, having been in the area for over 25 years, I have seen several restaurants come and go in Budleigh Salterton.
Secondly, if you look at buildings near the sea along this coast, you will not find many buildings with acres of glass, as it will soon get christened by the flocks of seagulls we have little control over.
Thirdly, I think it should be a condition that it cannot be sold again for, say, 15 years, just to make sure the owners are doing this for the good of Budleigh and not just to make a fast buck.
