I am absolutely appalled that Londis wishes to open its doors 24 hours and sell alcohol from 6am to midnight.This will cause nothing but problems and ruin this town.East Devon District Council should refuse the licence forthwith. But I doubt whether EDDC has the sense to do that.We have pole dancing now instead of a snooker hall; supermarkets pulling out because EDDC would not listen to the people in the first place; no by-pass, which was proposed over 20 years ago, and now EDDC holds secret talks about the siting of a travellers' site.I think EDDC needs a good kick up the butt - and fast - or put new batteries into its hearing aids.Terry Hart,(via email).
