Tories have claimed victory in the Exmouth Brixington ward.
David Chapman secured 1,599 votes, Maddy Chapman got 1,644 votes, and Cherry Nicolas secured 1,511 votes. All are Conservatives.
The Independent East Devon Alliance’s Mark O’Daugherty (1,281 votes), Labour’s Stuart Fegan (733 votes) and Lib Dem Tim Dumper (855 votes) all missed out.
EDDC says 70 per cent of people voted.
David Chapman said: “Never go into an election with your wife when she beats you.”
