AVENUES EXTENSION SUPPORTED: Plans to extend a Littleham home have been backed by Exmouth Town Council.

The owners of 10A Douglas Avenue want to build a two-storey extension, with a replacement porch and balcony, widened vehicle access and new gates.

The plan will now be considered by East Devon District Council.

-----

PRIVACY CONCERN: Exmouth Town Council has objected to plans to alter an Exmouth home.

The proposed scheme would see the height of Flat Two at 7 Manchester Street raised to provide second-floor accommodation, and alterations to the rear of the building to provide a Juliet balcony.

However, town planners said that the plan would be overdevelopment and out of keeping with the area, and that the balcony would overlook a neighbouring property.

The plan will now be considered by East Devon District Council.

‘YES’ TO APARTMENTS: A scheme to provide seven new apartments has been backed by Exmouth Town Council.

The owner of 5 Hartley Road has applied to extend the house to create the apartments, in a renewal of planning permission granted in 2008. The plan will now be considered by East Devon District Council.
