Littleham association could close

The Littleham Residents' Association (LRA) faces closure - if new members cannot be found.

The LRA annual meeting takes place on Friday, October 23 - and it is looking for enthusiastic residents to join the committee.

The quarterly meetings are usually well attended by town, district and county councillors, as well as police officers.

Spokesperson Gillian Mann said: “They are a good forum for residents to find out what is going on in their local area and to raise any issue that concerns them.

“Many changes are planned for Exmouth, such as the Queen’s Drive leisure area, Plumb Park and Douglas Gardens, Pankhurst Close and the Rolle site, all of which fall within the boundaries of Littleham.

“The neighbourhood plan will give people the opportunity to help shape some of the details of future plans and the association hopes to be involved in this, too.

“If new members cannot be found, the association will probably cease to exist after the annual meeting. This would be an awful shame.”
