EXMOUTH Tidy Group has made the town a cleaner place to live after a dedicated band of volunteers spent Saturday picking up litter.The diligent group collected around nine bags of rubbish after scouring the streets of Brixington, Pound Lane, Spiders Lane and the Valley Way area, collecting rubbish from grassy areas, parks, hedgerows, streams and undergrowth.The group, which works closely with Street Scene, the local authority and other bodies in the town to improve the look of Exmouth, meets several times a year to pick up litter.Littleham, Phear Park and Redgate Field have all benefited over recent months from the team's dedication. A spokeswoman for the group said: "We were surprised by the amount of rubbish we collected.
