Literature, science and the arts are the themes of a town walk forming part of the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival. The event is a joint enterprise between the Otter Valley Association and Fairlynch Museum and consists of a walk starting from Fairlynch Garden at 10.30am on Sunday September 18.

The walk will be led by David Daniel of the OVA, and Fairlynch press officer Michael Downes.

Mr Downes said: “Members of the public are invited to join two local residents in a fascinating exploration of the links between the town and numerous literary, scientific and artistic figures from past and present. “

No charge is made for the walk. Donations would be welcome and the literary festival committee and the OVA have agreed that any money raised will go to Fairlynch Museum on this occasion.

The walk is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
