Let’s keep it special

PUBLISHED: 07:00 09 March 2013

With regard to the early closing of some of the shops in Budleigh Salterton, I would like to draw attention to the many who do stay open for all hours, trying to do their best.

If people choose not to use them it is up to them.

But surely the way to keep our lovely little town vibrant it is up to the public.

Provisions, clothes, birthday presents, anniversaries and Christmas gifts which, if purchased locally instead of using petrol into Exeter or other places would be to the benefit of all.

Then our special little town would remain special instead of drifting into a lost place with boarded-up windows and silent streets to the detriment of the property market.

Do we want that?
