Exmouth town crier Roger Bourgein has received a boost to his fundraising campaign to attend a prestigious International Town Criers Competition in Bermuda.

He received a £250 donation from Manor Lodge Residential Home, and also received £35 from the Third World Project after a talk.

Fundraising committee chairman Steve Gazzard said: “I am extremely pleased with the response from businesses and the general public and to date the fund stands at £961. The final push is now on to achieve the £1,600 target.”
