BRIXINGTON Post Office had a hanging of the guard last week as retiring Postmaster Ken Brighton and his wife Lorraine handed over the reigns to neighbours David and Lucy Calland.
BRIXINGTON Post Office had a hanging of the guard last week as retiring Postmaster Ken Brighton and his wife Lorraine handed over the reigns to neighbours David and Lucy Calland.
Ken and Lorraine retired last month after 12 years at the Brixington Village Shops and now the business has moved - about 20 metres to the left into Budgens.
The new Post Office will continue to offer full banking services, open a third window, open all day Wednesday and during lunch.
Former Postmaster Ken Brighton said: "We wish Lucy and David every success in their new venture and good luck for the future.

"It is a good opportunity to welcome back Post Office customers who left when pension books finished, as this new and well equipped Post Office offers excellent banking facilities for all as well the usual facilities.
