Lack of local authors is a pity

The Literary Festival, in Budleigh, may defend its programme for 2009, but it is still a great pity that, for a local event, they have sidelined local talent.
The Literary Festival, in Budleigh, may defend its programme for 2009, but it is still a great pity that, for a local event, they have sidelined local talent.
I understand that this event must have national and international appeal to make it worth all the hard work of putting it on.
But, at the same time, with their Fringe Events, why not include our local authors for people to meet.
Next year may be too late.
