The headteacher of St Peter’s School has paid tribute to pupils who performed at a concert.

Pupils from St Peter’s and other schools in the region entertained staff and parents as they played with local band The Otter Collective.

The youngsters sang and played brass, strings, guitar, recorders, ukuleles, woodwind and drums.

Money raised from the concert will be split between the Otter Collective and paying for new musical instruments for the school.

Headteacher Steve Hitchcock said: “The children were a credit to themselves and their music teachers. It was thrilling to see so many children playing so confidently, many of them very young and inexperienced.”
