YOUNG budding tennis players are in training to take part in an international tournament - as ball boys and girls.Men's international tennis returns to East Devon Tennis Centre, Exmouth, later this month.The Men's $10,000 ITF Futures Tournament is an international event that forms part of the professional tour. Sixty-four players with a world ranking from 250 to 800 will be taking part. Said tournament director Jo Louis: "The event provides the centre's young and aspiring junior players with a fantastic opportunity to be involved in an international tennis tournament at a young age - and to experience performing on a mini show court in front of a few hundred spectators."It will be the third year for some of the youngsters, while for some of the younger players it will be their first year."The tournament starts with practice on Friday, March 28, and runs through the following week, with the finals on Saturday, April 5. Finals day includes the men's singles and doubles, plus demonstrations from junior players from the East Devon Tennis Academy and a performance by Withycombe Stomp.
