More details have emerged about Exmouth’s Christmas events.
As reported recently on the Journal’s website, for 2017 the Christmas Cracker has been replaced by the Exmouth Christmas Market.
Presented by Exmouth Town Council with LED, it’s at Ocean on Sunday, December 3, 10.30am-4pm.
As well as around 30 stalls plus Father Christmas, Carla Hiley, Exmouth Town Council’s arts manager, says there will be entertainment on stage, and/or in the Pavilion Gardens.
The entertainment will comprise local community choirs – including the La La Choir – performing carols and festive music.
“It will be good,” said Carla. “If it rains, then no one is going to get effected by it, such as all the charities who have made stuff before in the past. Hopefully we can make it Christmassy with Father Christmas and these choirs. I think it will all be very jolly.”
A lantern parade is also planned as part of the festivities on the day, but has yet to be confirmed.

Two other Christmas events are planned.
Carols on the Quay, the annual candlelit service in aid of Christian Aid, starts at around 6pm on Sunday, December 10 at Exmouth Marina
And the Bicton Christmas Street Party is on Sunday, December 17.
