A JETSKIER who alerted the emergency services he was having problems in the water has been praised by Exmouth RNLI.
The man raised the alarm he was in trouble after his jetski broke down last week in the water off Exmouth.
The RNLI said the man called for help using a hand held red flare.
Kevin Riley, lifeboat operations manager, said: "It was good that the jetskier had the foresight to take with him a method of alerting people if he got in to difficulties as, in this case, he was easily spotted.
