“Most people in the area know me as I work on the recycling rounds but I’m starting to become recognised for my photographs that I take and share on social media, too. People will come up to me on the beaches and ask if I’m Rob Chidgey the photographer. It’s really lovely how supportive people are and I’ve got to know a lot of the other local photographers when out and about with my camera.

“As I am up so early for work I often get to see a lot of wildlife and the stunning sunrises on the coast, which make for some amazing shots. I started out taking pictures simply by using my phone. I’m now using a Canon 750D, which is especially great for photographing landscapes and wildlife.

“I’ve sold some of my work and I have had my pictures used for postcards and bought by local businesses, including hotels. In the future I plan to build a career out of my hobby.”
