In answer to the letter from Gerald Bishop (July 31), I think he is mistaken to assume that, because 11,000 Exmothians object to the proposal to build ASDA on the river bank, then the rest of the population must automatically be in favour. Polls don't work like that.I think he is also mistaken to believe that those who object must therefore support queues and high prices, or scorn the opinions of young people.It is the proposed location of ASDA that so many Exmothians dislike.
