Pupils from St Peter's Primary School are gearing up for the final of a maths challenge.

Four youngsters were part of the school’s team in a ‘maths motion’ challenge which took place at Exmouth Community College, writes Daniel Wilkins.

This challenge involved calculating angles to accurately ‘drive’ around corners on a computerised race track.

Pupils learnt about estimating and measuring angles.

They then designed race cars and planned pit stops to avoid running out of fuel.

This then culminated in racing their creations with two teams from St Peter’s finishing in first and second place.

The two teams will now face other teams from school’s across the region in the final later this month.
