Archant

Children from Withycombe Raleigh Primary School got dressed up as Ancient Greeks as a finale to this term’s topic.

Children could focus on any aspect of Ancient Greece that had most interested them - which included war, architecture, gods and the Titans.

All the children took part in a range of activities including Olympic-style sports and puppet shows.

They also tried various Greek foods including tzatziki, taramasalata, feta cheese, pitta bread, fruit juices, honey, yoghurt and olives.

Teacher Sam Wheeler said: “It was such a pleasure to see the topic come to life for the children, who really embraced their roles as Ancient Greeks for the day.”
