IF you happened to be walking along Exmouth seafront last weekend, you can be forgiven for wondering what were the strange objects flying through the air.
Despite the number of UFO sightings spotted in the town and reported in the Journal recently, the objects weren't of an extra-terrestrial form.
They were, in fact, frisbees.
A tournament called Ultimate Frisbee took place on the beach last Saturday, May 1.
Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact self refereed sport played by thousands of people the world over.
Phil Richardson, from Lion Forty Four tournaments and coaching, who helped organised the event, said thanked Exmouth Cricket Club for their support in getting the tournament off the ground.
"I would also like to thank Jenni at the Cafe for providing lunch for the players this year," Mr Richardson added.
