I am writing in response to the subject of dogs fouling our streets and park areas. Dog fouling seems to be on the increase. I walk my two dogs regularly in Phear Park and often see dog owners pretending not to notice when their dog is making a mess. To me it is a sign of pure laziness. What amazes me, too, is the fact that some of those dog owners are parents of young children. They should know better - shame on them. My other issue is the fact that, in Phear Park, dogs really should be kept on leads. There is a notice, be it small, stating that dogs should be kept on leads. Far too many dogs are being left to roam and some do become a nuisance for other park users. Not all people love dogs. Again, irresponsible dog owners not bothering.
