Exmouth Armed Forces Day 2016

Preparations are already under way for this year’s Exmouth Armed Forces Day – with groups which would like to be involved invited to contact the organisers.

The event will be on June 24, when the Exmouth branch of the Royal Marines Association (RMA) will organise a parade and stalls in the Strand. It will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele during World War One. The event also celebrates veterans, with anyone who has served in the armed forces at any time, including national service people, regulars and reserves, invited to attend. Local cadet forces will also be involved.

Exmouth RMA will be raising funds for itself and other charities. Other military service organisations will also be raising funds, and other local organisations will be helping to make the day a success and raising funds for their own groups. Anyone who wants to be involved is invited to email Exmouth RMA chairman Dennis Gover at
