TRAINING facilities for archers in Exmouth could improve - if plans for a new indoor training centre are given the go-ahead.

Exmouth Archery Club has submitted plans to East Devon District Council for a single hall building, next to an existing outdoor archery range, at its Withycombe Raleigh Common base.

The new building would be used for shooting practice in the winter months, and would allow the club to expand its membership - which is currently at capacity.

The district council is yet to consider the application.
