Recycling chiefs are inviting suggestions for new ways to reduce household waste and increase recycling.

The Devon Authorities Waste Reduction and Recycling Committee, which represents a partnership between Devon County Council and the county’s district councils, is offering an innovation fund, which, it says, aims to stimulate new approaches to reducing, reusing or recycling household waste in Devon.

The fund is open to all, including individuals, businesses and community groups, with selected schemes having the opportunity to share in a £4,000 fund.

The closing date for applications at www.recycledevon.org/content/innovation-fund is May 8.
