Ian Woolger’s wry smile at the expense of the “No ASDA on The Exe” concerns me.
On one hand, he wants the town to have a “cheap top four market leader” to challenge Tesco, but doesn’t see what that, in itself, would do to the local traders, never mind what he thinks of the local council.
Perhaps I could also point out that Mr Woolger is on record within the Journal’s website forum section of stating that, before the last election, he had no intention of voting and, therefore, as I see it, excluding himself morally from commenting on any part of the democratic process!
