EXMOUTH'S Holy Trinity Church was packed on Friday as the town turned out in force to pay tribute to its much-loved town crier, Garth Gibson.
Exmouth came to a standstill, lining the streets, as a horse-drawn cortege took Garth on his final journey around the town he loved.
It was a testament to Garth's enthusiasm and love for Exmouth that hundreds of people joined the service to give thanks for the life of an 'irreplaceable' town crier.
The packed church meant scores of people stood in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Church and watched a live broadcast of the service which was transmitted via video link to a large screen outside.
